PET PORTRAITS

I love creating pet portraits for my clients, it’s a great way to create a lasting memory. Portraits are done in a combination of coloured pencil and watercolour on high quality watercolour paper or pastel mat.  I work with high resolution reference photos that capture your pet’s unique traits and personality. It is important that photos are high resolution where fine details are visible. It may require several photos in order to find the perfect one. I use only the highest quality products to ensure your portrait lasts the test of time. Once a reference photo has been provided it usually takes 4-6 weeks in to complete. Rush orders may be possible with an additional fee, please contact me to discuss this. I do provide shipping through Canada Post at an additional cost. At the time of booking I do require a 50% non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit as all pieces are custom made. I will send you a picture of your piece prior to shipping, at that time final payment is then due.

• Portraits are done on a classic white background, scenic backgrounds are an additional cost.

Tips for getting a good picture of your pet: 

​

• The picture should be taken HEAD on, it is best to get on your knees and look straight into their eyes. Shots from above and below do not turn out well. A tripod may be needed if you cannot hold the camera still. 

• Lighting is really important. Take photos with the sun/lighting coming in from behind you. Taking photos with a white background can wash out your pet. Pictures taken in the snow make your pet look really dark, and important details cannot be seen.

Terms & Conditions: 

• Deposits are nonrefundable/transferrable. 

• As all Pet Portraits are custom painted all sales are final. I will send you a picture of your piece prior to mailing it, if there are small changes to be made I will correct things up to a maximum of two times. Final payment ensures that the client is fully satisfied with the piece and no further changes will be made. 

• Brittany Coyle owns the copyright to all artwork, a purchase of artwork does not transfer copyright. If you would like prints made please let me know. You may post your portrait on social media with credit and links to my page. 

• The client must ensure that all reference photos are free of any copyrights (either your own photo’s or you have written permission from the photographer). The client will be responsible for any legal actions taken by others for use of photo material that is not free and clear of all copyrights.
